From Our Principal

The dawn of 2023 came as a beacon of hope, progress, excellence and venture into the ICT world. Greenside Primary School has not been the same since the untimely passing on of my former principal Mr S.P. Ramaphakela. I will forever remember that gentle soul who gave his all to build this unique institution and as such he deserves to be honoured. I am indeed grateful to the SGB, teachers, learners and the community of Extensions 40, 44 and 78 for entrusting me with a huge responsibility of building, shaping learners’ minds and ensuring that GPS becomes the school of choice. The school enrolment has grown from 1550 in 2022 to 1693 in 2023 after Papkuil Primary has been merged with GPS. The school has forty-five teachers, one administrator and twenty EAs/ GSAs. Our focus for the year 2023 is to maintain excellence in our academic work and also to build ICT infrastructure.
